Next, leave the Rhineland and enter Bavaria for your overnight stay in its capital, Munich. See the Olympic Park and the 1,000-foot-high Television Tower. This evening, visit MARIENPLATZ and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D) | | Day 6 | Vienna | Cross the border into Austria and drive past the lovely Salzkammergut Lake District and along the Danube Valley to Vienna. Afterwards, shop for Swiss watches and this evening you may wish to join a folklore party with yodeling and alphorn blowing. (B) | | Day 10 | Black Forest | Time this morning to choose from our optional activities: climb a mountain by cable car or take a cruise on the fjord-like lake. Then, turn north, re-enter Germany, and enter lush valleys and pine-clad hills of the Black Forest, renowned for its cuckoo clocks. (B,D) | | Day 11 | Paris | A short drive across the French border to pretty Strasbourg, where you will board the high-speed TGV TRAIN to Paris. You may wish to try out one of Paris' fine restaurants and to explore the 'City of Light.'
